| Efforts are being exerted to generate technology, which has become the master in all fields and a means to catch up with the developed countries, enjoying the merit of technological production. Other countries represent the consuming market.
Boosting local industrialization and economizing foreign component are now main pillars in the development process. They come within the government's procedures to achieve self-development.
Realizing the importance of this issue, the academy approved to finance a project serving this issue. The project considers the establishment of a technological database to list the locally-available industrial capacities, the activities of consulting engineering bureaus and main feeding industries of capital equipment and cars, produced in Egypt in compliance with international specifications.
The project gives a hand to solve the problem of lack of grouped and categorized information or databases in this field. This problem is major block to investors, businessmen and decision makers in spite of profound information from different sources. Relevant data prove that Egypt possesses great industrial capacities.
The academy and the committee formed for this purpose deem it necessary to publish the achievements at the national level in order to make this information available to the production sector companies and investors. Information should be available to anybody willing to push the development process.
The local component committee welcomes all inquiries, applications for information and contributions in the project, by completing the relevant form in the appendices. Other information to improve the data and information system is welcomed in the course of achieving the project goal.
